400 of the top athletes in the United States will come to San Jose to compete for U.S. titles over 9 days of competition. The U.S. Championships will feature competition in five levels (juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior and senior) and in all four disciplines of the sport: Men, Ladies, Pairs and Ice Dance.

Hall of Fame Reception

About: Help U.S. Figure Skating congratulate the 2018 Hall of Fame inductees! The U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame is where the greatest names in the history of the sport are honored. Induction into the Hall of Fame is considered the highest achievement an American figure skater can attain. Enjoy drinks and appetizers while mingling with U.S. Figure Skating royalty.

This year’s inductees are Michael Weiss, Kyoko Ina & John Zimmerman, Claire Ferguson and Sarah Kawahara.  Peter Burrows (Class of 2017) will be honored posthumously.  In addition to the evening’s program, each attendee will receive two drink tickets (beer/wine), a selection of hors d’oeuvres and a commemorative gift. Toyota Ride and Drive + Learn to Skate USA SkateFest

Location: Kristi Yamaguchi’s Downtown Ice, presented by Toyota
Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Toyota and Learn to Skate USA are joining together to bring SkateFest to San Jose! Free and open to the public, SkateFest provides the opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to participate in free group lessons based on their experience levels. Don’t be shy! First-time skaters encouraged! Free skating lessons will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, and rental skates are available at no charge. On-site registration will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6. Advance registration will open on Dec. 17. Space is limited.

Friends of Figure Skating Brunch
